We are now in a position that is so new to us. It’s a little difficult adjusting to this new experience. Our life situation is going through a complete overhaul. We’re just not used to this. What can we do?
Let’s make the best of what’s going on in our community and the world. The children, spouse, partner, pets – we’re all in each other’s space much longer than just the weekend that we’re used to.
Whether we have too many people at home, or just too much alone time and the inability of going to the mall, movies, networking can be nerve-racking. It doesn’t help since we don’t know how long this is going to last.
One thing we know for certain is, “THIS TOO SHALL PASS”.
What can you do to bring more harmony now that everybody’s in each other’s space?
Turn on your creative juices. Here’s a few tips:
- If you’re working from home now, take a break every 45 minutes or less. (Who’s going to tell you otherwise!)
- Take a walk – and listen to music or your favorite podcasts while you’re at it. It’ll help distract your thoughts from what’s going on, which causes anxiety and stress.
- Read a book, listen to music, or just nap – just to recharge your energy. All that’s going on around us is energy-draining.
- Get fresh flowers, place them on your coffee or dining table, and desk
- Call or face-time with your friends – connect
- Turn on your diffuser or burn incense
Stay safe and healthy!
