Summer is officially over, the Autumn Solstice showed up this past weekend, and we’re starting to plan for the holiday seasons.
The busy routine of taking the kids to school, going to work, take the kids to their soccer games, ballet lessons, piano lessons, PTA meetings, and also networking, working, what to cook for dinner . . . and it’s non-stop.
There’s just so much to do and your brain is in overdrive.
We talk about how clutter affects your space in Feng Shui. How much it stops the flow of energy – your prosperity, career, health, etc. and what you can do. But what about the mental clutter?
At least with the physical space, you can just throw things out or put them in boxes and neatly store them away.
What are you doing about the mental clutter? It’s also known as mental “chatter”. So much, that sometimes it affects our sleep. Even our driving!
“Oh! I missed that offramp!” Ever forget to pick up your kids?
What do you do to “declutter” inside your head? See our Feng Shui Tip for the week below.

Meditation
You don’t have to meditate for a whole hour – just 2 – 5 minutes. You can do this anywhere – find a spot for yourself – whether in the car (before you start that engine), just sit – close your eyes, and take a deep breath. Take 3 cleansing breaths – slowly inhaling and exhaling – concentrating on your breath. Just relax . . . That’s it! Quick and simple, just enough time to clear that mental chatter just for a few minutes.
Then when you get home, do it a little longer.
